Any purebred Iberian horse of Spanish PRE and/or Lusitano bloodlines that is either a) a mixture of Spanish and Portuguese lines, or b) cannot be proven to be 100% Spanish or 100% Portuguese within 5 generations is simply an "Andalusian" horse. These horses are considered purebreds here in the IHA, but are not recognized as purebred PRE or Lusitano horses. They are, in a sense, a third breed. Any purebred offspring of these horses, regardless of the PRE/PSL/AND status of the other parent, is to be registered with the IHA under this category.
