Iberian Warmblood
Registry Code: IWB
Note: Anglo-Luso and Spanish Norman horses are part of the Iberian Warmblood category and may simply be registered as Iberian Warmbloods with the IHA if the owner wishes.
The Iberian Warmblood is any horse resulting from a cross between a PRE/Lusitano/Andalusian and a Warmblood, Thoroughbred or Anglo-Arabian, or a Warmblood-type descendant of such a cross. These horses have the grace and movements of a PRE/Lusitano/Andalusian with the height, slenderness, refinement, endurance and agility of a modern Warmblood/Thoroughbred, creating the ideal sport horse. Iberian Warmbloods are traditionally used in all common ridden and driven equestrian sports, and have been known to excel eventing, show jumping and combined driving in particular.
Acceptable heights: 15.0 hh (152 cm) and above
Acceptable colours: any solid colour (excluding champagne dilutions unless present in the non-Iberian bloodlines), plus any pattern introduced by the non-Iberian parent.
