International Futurity Show
The International Futurity Show is run every December with only horses nominated during the spring
eligible to enter. The best futurity horses compete for special points and titles in both in hand
and under saddle classes. Unfortunately at the present moment only a select number of under saddle
classes are being offered. It is open for purebred horses aged weanling to three. The points
awarded are also increased to encouraged participation. The following classes are available:
Sire and Dam of Merit
The Sire of Merit and Dam of Merit Awards Program is designed to promote the horses who produce
outstanding performance competition horses. When a stallion or mare have met the requirements to
achieve the Sire or Dam of Merit titles they can be officially awarded the title, with their name
permanently added to the ASMA site. Any foals out of these horses are then eligible to compete
in the MA designated classes.
MA classes are used to showcase the breeding of the finest ASMA stallions and mares. It is sort
of run like an In Hand Sport Horse class. Horses are judged on their suitability and conformation
for the type of discipline they were bred for. Only horses produced by at least one officially
Merit Awarded horse are allowed to compete in these classes.
