RETIRED from Sim, January 2015 Abbreviate has long been one of our better sires of both racehorses and performance horses. We've owned this stallion since 2005, and have many great foals by him. He had a successful career on the track, (14)4-3-5 with earnings of $290,000, he only ran out of the top three twice in his entire career. He also won 3 Graded Stakes races in his career, one Grade I and two Grade III as well as placing in many other graded stakes races. Perhaps his best performance came when he took 3rd place in the prestigious Manhattan Handicap (Grade I) in 2005. As a sire, Abbreviate has been fantastic, with great success producing both sporthorse and flat racing foals. His flat racing foals have earned over $4.2 million on the track within the INJC and his sporthorse foals are primarily known for their spectacular jumping ability.
