Swedish Coldblood Trotter

Also Known As: Svensk Kallblodstravare, Scandinavian Coldblood Trotter, Coldblood Trotter, Draft Trotter

Both a sub-breed of the Northswedish Horse and a breed in its own right, the Swedish Coldblood Trotter and the Norwegian Coltblood Trotter are lighter versions of their draught type Northswedish horse and the Dole Gudbrandsdal counterparts, respectively, and together they make up the Scandinavian Coldblood Trotter breed. These horses are used predominantly for harness racing, though some are used as combined driving and ridden athletes after their racing careers are over (or instead of racing at all). Both the Norwegian and Swedish Coldblood Trotters race together in the same harness races (trotting, not pacing), but do not race alongside the Finnhorses or any other common harness racing breed.
