Membership Guidelines
As a member of the CDF, you agree to:
- Follow all CDF competition rules
- Host no more than four (4) member-hosted CDF competitions per month
- Never transfer the ownership of a horse that isn't registered to you, even if you are attempting to transfer a horse you have purchased.
Showing Guidelines
- All horses must be at least three (3) years of age to compete in driven classes,
- All horses may compete in their appropriate singles combined driving division plus a maximum of two (2) combined driving teams
- Horses competing in multiple divisions must compete in the same level in all divisions
- Horses are limited to a maximum of six (6) individual driven classes. All horses entering singles combined driving divisions must enter all three (3) classes for that division, or none at all.
- Horses that are part of a combined driving team should limit their individual driven classes to 0-3.
- In-Hand classes are unlimited, so long as entries are appropriate
- "Mini" divisions are restricted to miniature horses standing no taller 9.2 hh (97 cm)
- "Pony" divisions are restricted to non-draft horses 14.2 hh (1.48 m) and under
- "Horse" divisions are restricted to non-draft horses 14.3 hh (1.49 m) and over
- "Draft" divisions are open to all horses of draft ("heavy horse") type, regardless of height
- "Mini" and "Draft" horses cannot compete above Intermediate level. If you list your mini or draft horse as advanced, it will not be prevented with individual combined driving classes to enter.
