Membership Guidelines

As a member of the SGC, you agree to:

• Follow all SGC competition rules
• Host no more than four (4) member-hosted SGC competitions per month
• Never transfer the ownership of a horse that isn't registered to you, even if you are attempting to transfer a horse you have purchased to yourself.

Showing Guidelines

• All horses must be at least three (3) years of age to compete in ridden classes
• All horses may enter any and all appropriate in-hand, suitability & prospect classes
• All horses are limited to no more than six (6) ridden classes per show
• Futurity classes are open to horses aged 3-5 years of age in their first 12 months of competition
• Junior classes are open to horses aged 4-6 years of age
• Senior classes are open to horses aged 7-10 years of age
• Prime Time classes are open to hroses aged 11+
• All horses must compete in appropriate western tack (no English or flat racing saddles permitted)
