Breeding Contract

In order to request a breeding to any available stallion or mare at Starfire Inc., please make sure you agree to the following conditions:

1. The person requesting the breeding may create the foal once the breeding is approved. Please make sure the foal is realistic or the breeding will become void. (IE: 2 chestnut parents will not produce grullo offspring.)
2. Year of Birth of the resulting offspring when breeding to our mares MUST be a year the mare does not already have a foal. Offspring must remain a minimum of 4 years younger than the dam and 3 years younger than the sire.
3. Offspring pages MUST be sent to me within 14 days of the breeding being approved or the breeding will become void. URLs must remain valid, and we request updates if the URL changes (or at a minimum notification on the old page of the new one). This is to maintain our breeding records.
4. Breeding to one of our stallions does not require our prefix/suffix for the resulting offspring. However, breeding to one of our mares does. Our prefix/suffix rules are as follows:
   • All horses listed at our Kingwood division require the prefix KF.
   • All horses listed at our Dresden division require the prefix Dresden.
   • All horses listed at our Sundown division require the prefix SR
   • All Arabians & Half Arabians require the suffix SE. All draft horses require the prefix Starfire. All other breeds require the prefix SE.
5. Offspring need to remain active, whether through showing or breeding.
